BEHIND THE LABEL
From its extraordinary Napa Valley location, Chandon California marries Moët & Chandon’s traditions with the vibrancy of California fruit to create sparkling wines both classic and characterful.
New in the New World
It was the visionary Robert-Jean de Vogüé who in the late 1960s identified California, with its abundant sunshine and diverse terroir, as the next New World base for sparkling winemaking.
True to its roots
Even today, Chandon California adheres to the méthode traditionnelle, techniques used in Champagne for centuries, to craft its sparkling wines, adding a more modern devotion to sustainability.
Helping the grapes to thrive
Chandon California’s three vineyards in Mount Veeder, Carneros and Yountville offer excellent growing conditions for the traditional sparkling wine grape varietals: pinot noir, chardonnay and meunier.
