Blend and Origin
Newton Vineyard Skyside Cabernet 2016
B47 The sustainably farmed grapes for this blend of 75% cabernet sauvignon, 17% merlot, 5% carignan and 3% syrah were selected from California’s Lake, Sonoma, Mendocino and Napa Counties – each with its own microclimate. Cool temperatures during fermentation ensured this wine’s vibrant fruit flavors were not lost, while 10 months aging in oak (25% new) added nuance and complexity.
A rich and vibrant California blend
More to try
Match bold with bold
Smoked tofu tacos are an intriguing pairing, or, for meat-eaters, lamb souvlaki.
A charred skirt steak, marinated in a flavorful mixture of lime juice, olive oil, garlic, cilantro, and chilies, then seared to medium-rare, will complement the bold flavors in the wine. Or braise veal shanks to create an indulgent osso buco.
