Product DetailsThe cabernet sauvignon wines from Newton’s Mount Veeder vineyards are distinguished by their dark-fruit flavors, vibrant minerality and aging potential. The 2015 vintage is no exception. First planted with champagne varietals, Mount Veeder’s steep south-facing slopes now grow focused and intense cabernet sauvignon. The yield for this vintage was low, but the quality exceptional.

Blend and Origin
Newton Vineyard Single Vineyard Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
The 100% cabernet sauvignon in this vintage were grown in Newton’s Mount Veeder vineyards on the western edge of California’s Napa Valley. A cool and damp period during flowering resulted in limited yields, but grapes were of outstanding quality with a distinctive character. Batches were fermented and barrel aged for 12 months before blending and further maturation.
Match with classic meat dishes
A simple dish of grilled veal or lamb, served alongside grilled vegetables, will find a flavorful symmetry with the fine tannins in this cabernet sauvignon.
