Behind the Style
- Champagne Style
White from black
While fewer than 5% of champagnes are crafted solely from white grapes, fewer still are made only from black. These blanc de noirs champagnes are made using the two varietals permitted within the Champagne appellation – pinot noir and meunier.
Defined by character
The rare Krug Clos d’Ambonnay is made only in some vintages, using pinot noir from a single walled plot and aged for 12 years.
