TASTING NOTES:
Complex, silky and elegant
On the nose, white flowers are followed by apple, pear and peach, and then almond and frangipane.
More complexity is revealed on the palate: dried apricot, hazelnuts and honey. This is a silky, elegant cuvée with depth thanks to a period of ageing.

Cellar Master, Veuve Clicquot

BLEND AND ORIGIN:
Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2012
Despite a challenging start weather wise, the summer of 2012 offered plenty of sunshine and warmth that helped the pinot noir (90%) and chardonnay (10%) reach maturity and balance, like those in 1989 and 2002.
It has a blend of grapes from some of Champagne's most prestigious grands crus vineyards, including Aÿ, Verzenary, Verzy, Ambonnay and Bouzy.
