Details
Terrazas de los Andes Grand Malbec 2020 is the winery's fullest expression of malbec – lush, ripe and soft, but also packed with flavour thanks to a careful combination of grapes harvested from three different high-altitude vineyards.
Each region brings a different dimension to the final composition – grapes from the Las Compuertas Estate reveal berry aromas and flavours, round tannins and a distinctive elegance; those grown in the rocky terroir of Paraje Altamira bring floral and aromatic herbal notes; and those from the Los Chacayes region bring dark berry aromas and mineral notes.

TASTING NOTES:
Complex and intense

Appearance

An intense red colour with violet hues.

Aroma

On the nose, you'll get a combination of intense and complex aromas of raspberry and black cherry, plum and violet, and blueberry and fresh herbs.

Taste

A great concentration of tannins leads to a creamy and unctuous mouthfeel. There's a balanced acidity and firm tannins that contribute to a pleasant and persistent finish.

BLEND & ORIGIN WINES

BLEND AND ORIGIN:
Terrazas de los Andes Grand Malbec 2020

A vintage crafted from quality 100% malbec grapes harvested from three high-altitude vineyards crossing Argentina's Mendoza region.

The grapes are grown in the Uco Valley and Luján de Cuyo at altitudes ranging from 1070m to 1250m.

Comprising 25% from Las Compuertas in Luján de Cuyo, 30% from Paraje Altamira in the Uco Valley and 45% from Los Chacayes, also in the Uco Valley, the end result is a wine that's packed full of aromatic flavour.

After blending, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, and 12 months in bottle before release, further intensifying its aromas and flavours.
