Details
This is a wonderful example of a complex, fruit-led Argentinian cabernet sauvignon made from grapes grown at altitude in the Luján de Cuyo and Uco Valleys in Mendoza – an area once thought to be too cold for a variety that enjoys warm temperatures.
The remarkable ripeness and great natural acidity of the grapes has resulted in this delightful red wine with good colour intensity and fruity aromas, and with more noticeable spicy and herbal notes than in previous years.

TASTING NOTES:
Fruit-driven, spicy and elegant

Appearance

Deep red colour with purple highlights.

Aroma

The freshness of the high altitude shows on the nose with aromas of ripe black fruit and delicate spicy notes of white pepper.

Taste

Gentle on the palate to begin with, leading to a full-bodied mid-palate. Thanks to firm tannins, you can expect a round and juicy finish with good tension.

BLEND & ORIGIN WINES

BLEND AND ORIGIN:
Terrazas de los Andes Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

This cabernet sauvignon is a blend of more than 25 parcels from three high-altitude vineyards.

Although the growing season in 2020 was challenging – with hot temperatures, unexpected frosts, yield reductions and water restrictions all affecting the harvest – a remarkable ripeness, great natural acidity, fine colours and fresh flavours were all achieved.

Most of the wine is aged in French oak for 12-14 months followed by another six months in the bottle.
