Behind the Label
- The House
WhistlePig started with a farm in Shoreham, Vermont and the vision to reinvent Rye Whiskey. Saving a batch of 10-year-old blending whiskeys from their frightful fate was only the beginning – ever since that first start, the distilling team has kept experimenting with different blends and cask finishes to create a portfolio of deeply complex and world renown Rye Whiskeys.
The Team behind the Vision
WhistlePig is the first Whiskey that prides itself with zero generations of family tradition. It was founded under the lead of the late great whiskey distiller and founding father of craft distilling Dave Pickerell who set the vision of unlocking the potential of Rye Whiskey through uncompromising exploration and innovation. He left it to the most restless and rebellious distillery team in the industry to uphold that vision and keep pushing the boundaries of Whiskey making, convinced that the best times for Rye Whiskey are still lying ahead. “We protect what makes Rye Whiskey great, toss out the rest, and then innovate to make it better”. And after a few years of exploration, the worldwide success of WhistlePig is proving them right.
A sense of home
A 150-year-old dairy farm in Vermont is the birthplace of WhistlePig rye whiskey. Lovingly restored by the founders, the former barn houses the whiskey distillery, while the 500- acre estate is home to pigs, sheep, goats, bees and horses, as well as Vermont oak trees – the very same that are used in the finishing process of each bottle of WhistlePig.
