Blend and Origin
R de Ruinart 2010
2010 saw a dry spring, with summer coming early. Heavy rains slowed the maturity of the grapes across some of Ruinart’s vineyards; however, the chardonnay (55%) and pinot noir (45%) for this champagne – from grand cru and premier cru plots in Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims – did very well. If left to age further, it will delight lovers of mature champagnes.
This product can only be purchased by persons over 18 years of age.
Pair with rich and creamy dishes
Begin with a cod fillet alongside a rich butternut squash gratin – an ideal complement to the champagne’s fruity notes.
For a main course, try quail, braised and served with a creamy chanterelle sauce.
