Product DetailsCrafted using grapes from the vineyard at the heart of the Newton Vineyard estate, this cabernet sauvignon is as complex as the intricate patchwork of plots that make up Spring Mountain. Produced in limited quantities, this richly textured vintage reveals flavours of black fruits, mocha and tobacco, with a wild herbaceous and mineral edge. It will age well over the next 20 years.

Blend and Origin
Newton Vineyards Single Vineyard Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
The 100% cabernet sauvignon in the 2014 were grown on older vines in shallow soil of volcanic origin, comprising high-drainage, loamy sandstone. While rainfall levels for the year were below average, the warm and dry conditions led to high-quality grapes. The fruits were hand-harvested, and the wine aged for 16 months in 100% French oak barrels, 50% of which were new.
This product can only be purchased by persons over 18 years of age.
Match with equally rich meat and vegetables
To complement this wine’s umami flavours and fine tannins, serve roast leg of lamb with wild mushrooms and a red wine reduction.
