Details
Each Grand Vintage Collection is a true original, expressing the cellar master's personal interpretation of that singular year, and the 2004 vintage – the 70th since 1842 – is as richly unique as you'd expect.
This sleek champagne comprises chardonnay and pinot noir in almost equal parts, enhanced by suggestions of meunier. After 15 years in the cellars, it reveals an elegant colour, a refined, pure and precise bouquet and a graceful palate with a light, airy structure.

TASTING NOTES:
Graceful, elegant and sleek

Appearance

A brilliant, bright yellow with a fine, jewel-like bead.

Aroma

Fruity notes of white peach, lemon, pineapple, green banana and pear combine with floral, botanical aromas of mock orange, herbal tea and honeysuckle, as well as spicier, sweeter nuances of pepper, brown sugar, marzipan and candied melon.

Taste

Straightforward yet complex on the palate with a sleek, pure savour leading into a long, languorously rich finish. Expect a light, lively and supple structure with mineral overtones, plus bracing, refreshing notes of rhubarb and grapefruit with a touch of mint.

BLEND & ORIGIN CHAMPAGNE

BLEND AND ORIGIN:
Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Collection 2004

Plentiful grapes, in excellent health and beautifully ripe, were the key characteristics of the 2004 harvest.

This led to a balanced composition of 38% chardonnay, 33% pinot noir and 29% meunier.

Throughout the entire growing season, the weather was unusually mild and particularly favourable to thriving vines and exquisitely mature fruit.
