Blend and Origin
After a wet winter and damp spring came a cool summer with frequent, localised hailstorms, so in some ways it's a miracle that yields were so high in 2000. High yields enabled selectivity of the highest order, and the grapes were in excellent condition when they arrived at the winery. The chardonnay (50%) in particular shows wonderful complexity. Pinot noir (34%) and meunier (16%) add balance and fruitiness.
