6 British Champagne Staycations to Enjoy this Summer
With the gradual easing of restrictions in the UK we can start to look forward to holidays again, and while we can’t travel abroad just yet, there are some incredible hotels that will make you feel as though you are. Swap the Caribbean for Cornwall, Norway for Scotland and enjoy the finer things in life on a champagne staycation. Check out our Storemapper for more of our favourite locations.
1. Carbis Bay Hotel & Estate, St Ives, Cornwall
Set on one of the UK’s most beautiful Blue Flag beaches, Carbis Bay Hotel & Estate is as close as it gets to hopping on a plane to the Caribbean, without actually leaving the UK. Not that you’ll need much more convincing, but this summer its Moët & Chandon Afternoon Tea Tent will be serving a classic Cornish cream tea with Moët & Chandon Brut and Rosé champagne, so you can admire those sparkling blue waves, golden sands and verdant hillsides with a glass of bubbly in hand.
2. Fairmont St Andrews, St Andrews, Scotland
Known as the home of golf, Fairmont St Andrews is set within a 520-acre estate with a stunningly rugged coastal setting. Clifftop views of the North Sea await on the French summer garden terrace, where tumbling floral arrangements, French lavender and tall grasses create a beautiful setting from which to enjoy an a la carte menu, afternoon tea, weekend barbecue or picnic hampers, along with glasses of Moët & Chandon champagne or a champagne cocktail.
3. Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa, New Milton, Hampshire
Looking to get your heart racing a little this summer? Explore the New Forest by bike this summer with Chewton Glen’s Veuve Clicquot bike and champagne afternoon tea experiences. All you need to do is hop on to your yellow Veuve Clicquot bicycle and head off to find the ideal picnic spot.
