BLEND AND ORIGIN:
Joseph Phelps Insignia 2019
Insignia is 100% estate grown, and a blend of the best wine lots from Joseph Phelps vineyards in St Helena, Rutherford, Oakville, the Stags Leap District, the Oak Knoll District and South Napa Valley.
The 2019 Insignia is the first vintage to include fruit from the new Joseph Phelps vineyard, El Venadito, which is located in the Oak Knoll District, just south of the winery’s Yountville Vineyard.
The final blend comprises 93% cabernet sauvignon, 5% petit verdot and 2% malbec.
The wine is aged for 24 months in 100% new French oak barrels, which helps to tame the tannins and increase its ageability.

FOOD PAIRING:
Joseph Phelps Insignia 2019
Insignia's depth and structure pair well with grilled beef fillet, beef short rib and rack of lamb accompanied by seasonal vegetables and a potato purée. It also goes well with flank steak with chimichurri sauce, pan-seared ribeye steak and grilled portobello mushrooms.
