TASTING NOTES:
Focused and concentrated
Deep garnet-purple.
This 2021 Insignia opens with inviting aromatics of violet, dark fruit, tobacco, subtle baking spice and earthy dried herbs.
The palate is filled with expressive black cherry, blackberry and dark plum, plus hints of spice and sweet vanilla bean.

BLEND AND ORIGIN:
Joseph Phelps Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
A smooth vintage that's 100% estate grown, and a blend of the best wine lots from Joseph Phelps vineyards in St Helena, South Napa Valley, the Oak Knoll District, the Stags Leap District and Rutherford.
It also includes fruit from the new Joseph Phelps vineyard, El Venadito, which is located just south of the winery's Yountville vineyard.
The final blend comprises 94% cabernet sauvignon, 3% cabernet franc, 2% merlot and 1% malbec.
The 2021 vintage has aged for 18 months in 48% new oak (58% French, 42% American) and 52% older French and American oak barrels before bottling.
