Details
Made in limited quantities and bottled at a higher percentage (43% ABV), the style of this new-release rare blended Hennessy cognac – the fifth edition in the Master Blender's Selection collection – is completely unique.
Crafted by eighth-generation Master Blender Renaud Fillioux de Gironde, it's been conceived in tribute to the 18 families of distillers who work closely with Hennessy to supply first-rate eaux-de-vie, remarkable for their purity, finesse and potential. Some families have been working with Hennessy for more than 250 years.

BLEND & ORIGIN HENNESSY

BLEND AND ORIGIN:
Hennessy Master Blender's Selection No 5

The eaux-de-vie chosen for this blend – the youngest of which has spent seven years maturing in French oak barrels – come from 18 families of distillers, located in the four sub-regions of the Cognac appellation that Hennessy uses.

Each distiller selects the wines and works to concentrate and reveal its aromas through a process of double distillation on the lees, which helps develop intense, fruity aromas and a lovely roundness.

Then, Hennessy's Master Blender narrows that selection to those he considers superior in quality – it's this selection process, combined with the long maturing time in cask, that gives the cognac such aromatic complexity.

It's bottled at a higher strength than many Hennessy cognacs, to enable you to better discover the full intensity of the aromas when tasting it on its own.
