Rustic gold
Delicious scents of apple tart and toffee with subtle notes of forest floor, followed by a burst of baked apples, oranges and pears. A splash of water will release scents of butter candy, more sweet pastry and a touch of beeswax, delicately lightened by mint.
Toffee apples and baked pears, with almonds and mandarin orange. The sweet fruitiness is given depth and roundness from hints of clove, star anise and soft leather.

Master Distiller Dr Bill Lumsden had long dreamed of introducing the soft, mellow taste of cognac to Glenmorangie’s single malt, but the power of the French oak casks had previously threatened to overwhelm its delicate, fruity spirit.
This time, he carefully selected casks that had been filled many times over, softening the wood influence and bringing subtle notes of clove and pepper and hints of leather to the fore.
