Details
Te Wahi is the product of two contrasting vineyards in New Zealand's dramatic Central Otago region. Rocky Northburn yields grapes of great structure and intensity, while the softer terrain of Calvert produces scented, opulent fruit.
These complementary vineyards work together to deliver a beautifully balanced wine. Dark, intense and elegant, combining concentrated tannins with a crisp vibrancy, it captures all that is essential about this area’s pinot noir.

BLEND & ORIGIN WINES

BLEND AND ORIGIN:
Cloudy Bay Te Wahi 2018

A hot, abnormally still spring in Central Otago was followed by a sizzling summer, then cooler conditions and rain.

The 2018 harvest was brought in early with the fruit in beautiful condition, and predominantly de-stemmed into open-top fermenters with 22% whole-bunch inclusion.

After soaking and fermentation, the grapes were aged for 12 months in French oak barriques.
