TASTING NOTES:
Refreshing and delicious
A vivid pale pink.
On the nose it has crisp, fresh fruit notes of pink grapefruit, wild red berries and pomegranate.
Crisp, fresh and aromatic with a mouthwatering salty mineral finish that evokes the Mediterranean sea breezes that blow through Château Galoupet's vineyards.

BLEND AND ORIGIN:
Galoupet Nomade
A delicate but lively blend of cinsault (32%), syrah (23%), grenache (22%), rolle (18%), mourvèdre (4%) and tibouren (1%) grapes, grown over 41 individual plots.
The grapes, which were harvested late to allow them to reach full maturity, have been gently pressed to protect against oxidation and preserve the purity of the aromatics.
Fermentation took place in a new temperature-controlled cellar.

A powerful regeneration:
The road to sustainability
In July 2019, when managing director Jessica Julmy first set eyes on Château Galoupet – one of just 18 cru classé estates in Provence – she saw a sleeping beauty: a spectacular yet fragile cru classé, which had more woodlands than vines. She seized the opportunity to rehabilitate those vineyards, and the 77 hectares of protected woodlands that adjoin them, with the ambition of rebranding it as the home of eco-friendly fine rosé. One of her first moves was to put the estate into organic conversion – only five other cru classé estates have the same distinction.

Promoting biodiversity:
A tale of biodiversity
In a bid to promote ecological balance across its vineyards and woodlands, Château Galoupet has partnered with environmental organisations to help with regenerating the soils, nurturing the vines, planting cover crops to attract wildlife and reviving the natural biodiversity on the estate. The upper reaches of the estate are dotted with 200 beehives that serve as a research centre for the French Observatory of Apidology (OFA).

A new way to package rosé:
Eco-forward bottles
Studies show that packaging counts for up to 40% of a winery’s carbon footprint – a statistic that led to the estate completely rethinking the way it bottles its wines in order to save energy during the production process and contribute to lower carbon emissions during transportation. Its Cru Classé Rosé is bottled in lightweight 70% recycled amber glass, while Galoupet Nomade comes in an innovative flat recyclable bottle made from 100% recycled prevented ocean plastic (POP).

FOOD PAIRING:
A fine rosé for fresh-air feasts
Pairs wonderfully with alfresco meals such as barbecues and on-the-go occasions including picnics. Serve it with barbecued seafood, meats and vegetables, or alongside a simple lemon meringue pie.
