Details
It's always exciting when a new vintage of Château Galoupet Cru Classé Rosé emerges from the cellars, but this 2023 release is especially worthy of attention.
A terroir wine crafted with 100% estate-grown grapes, it has an alluring concentration of summer fruit aromas underpinned by the salinity of the nearby Mediterranean Sea, but it's also the first fully certified organic vintage from Château Galoupet after years of organic conversion.

BLEND & ORIGIN WINES

BLEND AND ORIGIN:
Château Galoupet Cru Classé Rosé 2023

Crafted from 100% estate-owned grapes, Château Galoupet Cru Classé Rosé 2023 is a complex, full-bodied Côtes de Provence rosé.

Climate conditions were challenging throughout 2023, with a dramatic shortage of rain and soaring temperatures leading up to the harvest in August.

Yields were low, but grape quality was high, with each variety revealing a concentration of aromas.

The result is a striking blend of different grape varieties – mainly grenache (52%) with aromatic tibouren (16%), shiraz (14%), and rolle (15%), plus cinsault and sémillon (3%) – grown in 41 individual plots and gently pressed to protect them from oxidation.

A historic vintage:
Château Galoupet's first certified organic rosé

Cru Classé Rosé 2023 is Château Galoupet's first certified organic vintage rosé – and its release marks a turning point for the team, who spent the past five years regenerating soil, nurturing vines and reviving all the biodiversity on the estate.
The aim? To create wines that express the full potential of an exceptional, biodiverse terroir with a sustainable approach from ground to glass.

Track and trace:
A sustainable way to enjoy rosé

Convinced that biodiversity is integral to crafting excellent terroir-driven wines, environmentalism is a key focus for Château Galoupet.
But that commitment to the environment doesn't end at the vines – Château Galoupet Cru Classé Rosé 2023 is presented in an award-winning amber-coloured bottle made from 85% recycled glass and weighing less than 500g.
You can trace each step of the wine's creation via a QR code on the label – you’ll even be able to locate where the cork stoppers were finished and the wax to cover them was produced.

Grape expectations:
Getting the most out of a unique grape variety

Only grapes grown on the progressive estate – which comprises 69 hectares of vineyard and 77 hectares of protected woodland overlooking the Mediterranean – are used to make Château Galoupet rosé.
Of the seven varieties produced, it's the rare, difficult-to-grow, intensely aromatic tibouren that sets this rosé apart. Virtually unknown, it's grown in just 2% of Provence’s vineyards, but the team at Château Galoupet is committed to nurturing its tibouren vines and bringing them to their full potential.
