Details
Described as a rosé that has the hallmarks of a top-end white wine, with the potential to age, this medium-bodied dry Provence wine is the result of combining grenache and vermentino from Château d'Esclans' finest plots.
While old-vine grenache grapes are responsible for its luscious berry notes, vermentino brings freshness and a fine minerality. Bâtonnage (lees stirring) twice weekly adds body and depth to this exceptional and coveted rosé.

BLEND & ORIGIN WINES

Blend and Origin :
Château d'Esclans Les Clans 2020

This is a blend of two grape varieties, grenache (85%) and vermentino (15%), which are destemmed and lightly crushed at a low temperature to avoid oxidation.

It is then fermented in new and second-year French oak barrels, with bâtonnage – the process of stirring up the lees to add body and ensure a creamy finish – taking place twice weekly.
