Blend and Origin
2005 Château Cheval Blanc, Saint-Emiliion
The 2005 vintage is widely regarded as outstanding in the Bordeaux region. Featuring the driest weather on record, 2005 produced superb merlot and cabernet franc grapes with unprecedented levels of sugar concentration – without becoming over-ripe. This blend, 49% cabernet franc and 51% merlot, was aged in new oak barrels for 16-17 months.
This product can only be purchased by persons over 18 years of age.
Elegant red meat dishes are a classic match
A prime cut of beef, filet mignon or veal chop will pair perfectly with this powerful wine. Serve a truffled potato purée alongside.
A creamy cake or mousse made with dark chocolate is a lovely complement.
