While the maison's much-lauded Whispering Angel is an undisputed crowd-pleaser, the 2021 vintage of Rock Angel offers a more complex and structured taste profile, elevating it and offering rosé lovers a bigger, richer wine.
Fabulous as an aperitif or paired with a broad range of fine cuisine, this pale-coloured, mineral wine has been partially barrel fermented in large oak barrels for extra creaminess, and is made from a blend of grenache, cinsault and rolle (vermentino) grapes.

BLEND AND ORIGIN:
Caves d’Esclans Rock Angel 2021
Rock Angel consists primarily of grenache and rolle from mostly old vines grown in La Motte in Provence.
The grapes are harvested from sunrise to noon, then destemmed and lightly crushed at a low temperature to avoid oxidation.
Partial oak ageing adds a creamy feel and texture to this wine, and the flinty minerality imbues it with another layer of complexity.
