Blend and Origin
Cape Mentelle Cabernet Sauvignon 2013
This blend of cabernet sauvignon (91%), cabernet franc (8%) and merlot (1%), comes from the best parcels and some of the estate’s oldest vines. The grapes withstood a wild November to reveal an exciting wine, with the exceptional Margaret River terroir showing its strength. Maturation for 18 months in Bordeaux barriques, half of which were new, adds to its smoky character.
This product can only be purchased by persons over 18 years of age.
Pair with deeply flavoured savoury dishes
Roasted game bird served with wild mushrooms, Wagyu beef loin with potato terrine, or a roasted rack of lamb will be complemented by the intensity of this cabernet sauvignon.
Serve a nutty cheese such as Edam for a final course.
