    One of Australia’s most iconic cabernets, the 2013 is a classic example from the estate – and from an excellent year. Complex and opulent, this wine’s fruit flavours develop towards a mineral finish. Since the 1970s, Cape Mentelle has been producing benchmark wines from its exceptional terroir – and the 2013 is no exception. Great rewards await those who cellar this vintage for 30 years or more.

  • Blend and Origin

    Cape Mentelle Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

    This blend of cabernet sauvignon (91%), cabernet franc (8%) and merlot (1%), comes from the best parcels and some of the estate’s oldest vines. The grapes withstood a wild November to reveal an exciting wine, with the exceptional Margaret River terroir showing its strength. Maturation for 18 months in Bordeaux barriques, half of which were new, adds to its smoky character.
