A warm growing season and maturation in French oak casks has resulted in a concentrated and luxurious wine, with cabernet imparting structure and merlot adding dark fruit flavours. -

Blend and Origin
Cape Mentelle Cabernet Merlot 2014
This blend of 64% cabernet sauvignon, 29% merlot, 5% petit verdot and 2% cabernet franc was crafted during an unusually warm season – among the warmest on record – leading to a wine with mature tannins and bright varietal fruit flavours. A 14-month maturation in Bordeaux barriques has resulted in a concentrated wine, rounded and perfectly balanced.
