This is an intense yet elegant wine with a fresh finish from the Toro region of Spain. Beautiful notes of black fruit and subtle spices are met with soft tannins and gentle acidity.
Having aged for 16 months in a mix of new and second-use French oak barrels and then some further ageing in bottle, this is a red wine to enjoy now or any time over the next five to seven years.

Fresh and elegant

Appearance

Cherry red with ruby reflections.

Aroma

Good intensity with hints of blueberries and blackberries on the nose. Notes of cinnamon and pink pepper follow with a candied, sweet aftertaste.

Taste

Long and expressive with hints of red fruit on a spicy backbone along with notes of mint and eucalyptus. Tannins are soft and acidity is gentle.

Made from 100% fully ripened organic tinta de toro grapes from low-yielding vines aged between 30 and 50 , this vintage comes from a year of mixed weather conditions - a rainy spring was followed by a hot and dry ripening season.

The grapes harvested were of excellent ripeness and quality.
