    Toro – the Spanish word for “bull” is an apt description of this powerful, muscular wine. From the renowned Toro region, it is intense yet silky, complex yet fruity. With the tinta de toro grapes afforded ample sunlight, Bodega Numanthia winemakers were able to craft a wine with fresh aromas, round tannins and balanced acidity.

    Bodega Numanthia Numanthia 2014

    The 100% tinta de toro grapes in this wine were grown on older vines in Valdefinjas, Morales de Toro, Toro and Venialbo. Rainfall in April and May, followed by a mild summer, gave the grapes ample time to ripen, while warm conditions in August encouraged complex aromas and mild, ripe tannins to develop. Aging in French oak for 18 months imparted body and depth.
