5 Festive Champagne Experiences in London This Winter: Part One

Enjoy five of the best festive experiences in London this winter – from sky-high champagne bars to alpine-themed retreats – for feasting and cocktails at some of the capital’s merriest venues.

1.     Moët & Chandon Winter Bar at Sky Garden

Back by popular demand, Moët & Chandon’s alpine oasis features fir-tree foliage, fairy lights and festive fun. This winter the sky-high garden will play host to ticketed parties featuring live music, DJs and, of course, plenty of Moët & Chandon champagne. Tickets start from £12 and include access to the winter gardens and ski chalet-style bars, as well as a glass of Moët & Chandon champagne, a cocktail of the day or a glass of mulled wine or cider, plus a mince pie.

2.     Belvedere Vodka Alpine Lodge at 100 Wardour Street

From 18 December up until New Year’s Eve, 100 Wardour Street transforms into a winter wonderland with a sensory forest walk experience, twinkly lights and a touch of mischief under the mistletoe. At the bar, enjoy a masterfully mixed cocktail made with one of three Belvedere Organic Infusions. Choose from fresh and bright lemon and basil with a touch of elderflower, crisp and zesty pear and ginger with a drop of linden honey, or rich and vibrant blackberry and lemongrass with a hint of sage.

3. Christmas re-imagined with Veuve Clicquot at Aqua Shard

Visit Aqua Shard from 10 December and the order of the day will be a Stage Whisper, a festive creation made with Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label champagne, Zacapa No. 23 rum, chestnut liqueur, pumpkin spice syrup, Disaronno amaretto and Ardbeg 10 Years Old whisky. Sip this limited-edition cocktail while admiring the dazzling views of London and Aqua Shard’s show-stopping Christmas tree, made in 2020 to support the theatre industry. Created using 800 paintbrushes, lit and delicately hung, it has been revived for 2021.
