Terrazas de los Andes Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2016

From high-altitude vineyards in Mendoza’s Luján de Cuyo and Uco Valley, the cabernet sauvignon grapes in this wine were grown on 20-year-old vines. A cold spring in 2016 led to delays in bud growth, and rains meant lower yields but fruits with freshness and acidity. Grapes were hand-harvested, and the wine aged for 12 months before another six months in the bottle.

A bright, fresh and aromatic red

Food pairing:
Balance sweet and savory

Appetizer

A salad of thinly sliced warm figs on a bed of arugula, chestnuts and black olives will complement the wine’s delicate floral notes.

Entrée

Red meat, game and lamb – grilled or in a spicy sauce – marry well with this cabernet sauvignon.
