The Maison
Hennessy
Hennessy creates cognacs for true connoisseurs, drawing on a 250-year heritage and access to vast reserves of exceptional eaux-de-vie. The house has mastered the complex alchemy between distillation, maturation and blending.

Faces
A joining of forces
With a bold ambition to create the world’s finest cognac, Irish officer Richard Hennessy founded the brand in 1765. The Fillioux family, whose members have been the master blenders at the house for the past seven generations, is integral to the Hennessy story.

Places
Tastes of the terroir
Hennessy’s superb collection of eaux-de-vie is created with grapes from only the finest crus in Cognac. Using the art of assemblage, these different eaux-de-vie are blended to create unique and complex cognacs that reflect the subtle diversity of the terroir.

A symbol of heritage
At the heart of Hennessy lies the Founder’s Cellar – home to one of the largest and most diverse reserves of cognac eaux-de-vie in the world – the oldest of which dates from 1800. Only once an eau-de-vie has reached its full expression will it be used to craft the rarest cognacs.
