Moscow Mule

May 10, 2018
Just like Father Christmas, the Moscow Mule is a true marketing success story. Conceived in the United States during the 1940s, the drink was invented as a way of popularising vodka – a spirit still very niche at the time – and depleting a stock of ginger beer. Initially served in its iconic copper mug, the cocktail has been a hit in bars around the world ever since. Made with Belvedere Vodka, the cocktail combines the sharpness of lime juice enhanced with a moreish bitterness. The ginger beer softens the bite of the spirit and adds a slight hint of spicy heat.
