    Moët Grand Vintage Blanc 2000

This vibrant vintage comprises 50% chardonnay, 34% pinot noir and 16% meunier. The spring began well, with excellent growth by May and flowering in June, but heavy rain and a hailstorm in July destroyed many vines. Thankfully, sunny weather followed in August and September, helping the grapes to ripen and to develop good levels of sugar and acidity.

Food pairing:
A sparkling enhancement to fresh yet rich flavours

Starter

The opulence of this vintage makes it a perfect partner for shellfish. Serve with a tartare of crab with fresh ginger.

Main

A richly flavoured lobster dish, paired with an aromatic vegetable such as fennel, is a superb accompaniment.
