  • Product Details

Intense, with a diffuse minerality, the 2003 vintage has a higher proportion of pinot noir. It is the expression of a difficult growing season, which included the hottest summer in 53 years. The 2003 vintage is one of Dom Pérignon’s boldest champagnes – an example of the maison’s signature style crafted in extreme circumstances.

    Dom Pérignon Vintage 2003

The hottest summer in half a century left a lasting impression on the 2003 vintage, which shares a certain likeness with the renowned 1947, 1959 and 1976 vintages, when the crops escaped frost and were then subjected to intense heat. The pinot noir achieved the best balance among all varietals and composes almost two-thirds of this blend.

Food pairing:
Rich, savoury dishes are a perfect match

The warm creaminess of oeuf passard, an egg dish created at L’Arpège Restaurant in Paris, is a satisfying complement to this vintage.

The flavours and textures in a saffron risotto will match those of the champagne, while the depth of duck foie gras will allow the vintage to shine.
