    Taken from the Maori word meaning “the place,” Cloudy Bay’s Te Wahi captures the raw beauty of New Zealand’s Central Otago region and the character of its remarkable terroir.

    Grapes from the Northburn vineyard impart structure, while fruits from Calvert plots lend a perfumed elegance. The 2015 – the maison’s second vintage – is an enticing, generous pinot noir.

  • Blend and Origin

    Following a cool start to spring in 2015, warmer temperatures arrived for flowering and led to earlier-than-average ripening. Grapes grew to reveal intense flavours and excellent ripeness. The 2015 vintage underwent wild yeast fermentation and was aged for 12 months in French oak (30% new), then a further nine months in the bottle in Cloudy Bay's cellars.
