Château d’Esclans is a Provence maison focusing exclusively on creating the finest rosé wines. Pale in colour but intense in flavour, this limited edition set allows you to discover the core collection. The wines are made primarily from the old Grenache vine for which the château is famous.

The selection comes in a smart wooden box with two bottles each of Château d’Esclans, which is delicate with a defined minerality, the full-bodied and elegant Les Clans, and the refreshing and versatile Garrus.

  • Blend and Origin

Château d'Esclans 2019 is a blend of several varieties, mostly old-vine grenache and vermentino. The grapes are destemmed and lightly crushed at a low temperature to avoid oxidation. Maceration is avoided to maintain the pale colour of the wine, while vinification takes place partly in demi-muids (large French oak barrels) and in stainless steel to preserve the delicate floral and mineral notes.
Les Clans 2019 is made of grapes selected from old vine Grenache, Vermentino and Syrah are harvested from sunrise to noon when the day is cool. Fermentation takes place in new and second-use large oak barrels that are individually temperature controlled, ensuring the fruit flavours are preserved, while body and depth is added through twice-weekly bâttonage.
Garus 2019 is a blend of several varieties – mostly old-vine grenache, along with vermentino and syrah – the grapes are destemmed and lightly crushed at a low temperature to avoid oxidation (no maceration takes place). Vinified in new and second-year demi-muids (large French oak barrels) with bâtonnage – the process of stirring up of the lees to add body – taking place twice weekly.
