Product Details
From a stunning vintage, 2015 has become a benchmark Y. Full yet fresh, this vintage of Château d’Yquem’s dry white is dominated by notes of white florals and peach, with a light oakiness imparted by ageing in French barrels. Crafted from grapes harvested earlier than those used in the sweet Yquem Sauternes, Y is a dry white wine first created in the 1950s and now made every year. This style of Y has remained unchanged since 2007. -

Blend and Origin
2015 Y Château d'Yquem, Bordeaux
The grapes for this wine, a blend of sauvignon (75%) and sémillon (25%), were picked in a year of near-perfect growing conditions in Sauternes. The first grapes to be picked in Bordeaux in late August were extremely fresh, and the second batch of sémillon had just started to develop the precious botrytis. Blended, they created a perfectly harmonious and precise vintage.
