Blend and Origin
A mild and wet start to the year was followed by the most amount of sunshine seen in the Bordeaux region for 15 years. Nights remained cool and as a result the grapes ripened to their fullest, without losing their balancing acidity levels. The final blend is merlot (58%), cabernet franc (38%) and cabernet sauvignon (4%), the latter a first harvest from a plot planted in 2014. The wines are aged in new, large oak barrels for 18 months.
