Blend and Origin
While the preceding vintage was marked by wet weather, most of 2015 was oddly dry in the Bordeaux region. Another anomaly was the late date of bud burst and the growth period of the vines due to water stress. Nevertheless, the grapes picked had excellent ripe fruit levels. Merlot (55%) and cabernet franc (45%) were blended and aged in new, large oak barrels for 18 months.
