  • Blend and Origin

    2010 Château Cheval Blanc, Saint-Emiliion

    The splendid 2010 was among the driest seasons on record in Bordeaux, and the grapes – 50% cabernet franc, 48% merlot and 2% cabernet sauvignon in this blend – were naturally concentrated. The harvest was extended, with vineyard workers able to pick plot by plot, allowing each varietal to reach its ideal level of ripeness. The blend was aged in new oak barrels for 18 months.
