  • Product Details

Drawing inspiration from traditional Burgundian winemaking, Cape Mentelle's 2017 Margaret River chardonnay displays exceptional aromatic complexity, pleasing fruit texture and a long, clean finish.

While this vintage has an undeniable potential for aging, it is also drinking exceptionally now, with intriguing levels of texture and flavour developing with each sip.

  • Blend and Origin

2017's mild summer brought cool nights that allowed for even ripening and the freshness of the grapes to be preserved. Traditional techniques included hand-picking and whole-bunch pressing, followed by aging in Burgundian oak. The maison follows minimal intervention principles, so the 100% wild-ferment wine was left alone, with some malolactic fermentation encouraged.
